A restaurant I wanted to try for the longest time. The food is so delicious. Every dish has its own unique flavour profile. Not a big fan of any banana cakes but this banana cake is yummy. The chocolate mousse is so good too. Can't wait to go back to try other dishes especially the goat curry.
We’ve ordered fish tacos, spiced wings, oxtail gnocchi, habanero prawn plantain tart & curry goat stew. All the dishes were so flavourful & delicious!
Special shout-out to Martin, the manager, and his team for the attentive & great dining service provided. We really had an enjoyable time at the restaurant.
This is our first visit and it will definitely not our last! (:
Came here with my husband and in laws for his birthday. We started off with the doubles and plantain nachos, then had the spiced lamb, jerk chicken and fisherman stew, all of which were excellent! All of us had cocktails to go with our meal, and the house lime punch was so yum. We have to commend the manager for his wonderful service. while we did not inform the restaurant that it was my husband's birthday, he made it extra special by giving us a cocktail on the house and also made our desserts complimentary. Thank you very much for the lovely experience and we will be back for sure.
First time trying jerk chicken after seeing it countless times online. Fair warning, it packs a punch! 🥵 I ordered the Jerk Chicken Skewers and Fish Taco. The taco was drenched in a delicious sauce and I highly recommend ordering this even though it is slightly on the pricier side.
Would love to return with friends and family since none of us have tried Caribbean cuisine before!
One of the best goat curry’s I’ve tried. Limehouse feels truly authentic. Their plantain fry is a must try too. Slightly on the expensive side and lunch time they take a while to serve the food.
The fisherman’s stew which came with rice and beans was the star of the night - the sauce was filled with seafood-y flavour and goodness. Will come back again just for this dish, and try other appetisers like the Mac and cheese balls. The other dishes we tried were quite decent too, like the BBQ pork ribs.
Excellent selection of food! We had the nachos, curry goat with rice and spiced lamb. Every one of them was well-seasoned, leaving our stomachs feeling happy.
An area of improvement would definitely be the space- lighting was terrible for good photos. It looked a bit rundown, unless that was the effect they were going for.
We ordered the Oxtail Gnocchi, Goat Curry, and Jerk Chicken. We also got 2 cocktails as per reccomend by Dylan, our bartender, the Spicy Pimento as well as well as the Lime House Punch.
Oxtail Gnocchi - The Oxtail was cooked perfectly and was amazingly tender. I would say it was fall off the bone, but they even went through the trouble of removing the bone for us, making it easier to eat as well.
Tribajam Goat Curry - A wonderfully flavorful blend of spices was mixed together with a very juicy and tender set of lamb chunks. The lamb had a perfect lean meat to fat ratio, and the curry was bursting with flavor, yet still light enough to be able to be eaten on its own, without the rice that was served at the side.
Jerk Chicken - Honestly the only disappointment of the night. The chicken way dry and overcooked. despite us getting 2 pieces, a breast and a thigh, they both somehow felt like they were the same texture-wise. Chicken was also not marinated well past the skin layer, and the middle was rather bland. Saving grace was the sauce at the side, of which we also only got a small portion of.
